The District Administration Bandipora Wednesday marked the celebration of National Girl Child Day 2024 with a series of vibrant initiatives. A grand event was held at the Town Hall of district Bandipora where Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, graced the occasion as the chief guest, along with ADC Bandipora Umar Shafi besides a large gathering of girl/women folk.
Speaking at the event, ADDC emphasized the crucial role girls play in building a progressive and equitable society. He lauded the tireless efforts of the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ (BBBP) initiative in nurturing the aspirations of girls and ensuring their holistic development.
Speeches were delivered by girl students from various educational institutions, who spoke passionately about their dreams, challenges, and aspirations.On the occasion, a panel discussion was also held featuring eminent women achievers who shared their personal journeys and offered valuable insights for young girls.
Among others, members from Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) and OSC were also present on the occasion.
