All branches of Local Bodies Department of the Punjab would work under one roof from December 2013 onward as the work on Municipal Bhawan being constructed in Sector 35; Chandigarh is in final stages of completion.Local Government Minister Mr. Chunni Lal Bhagat today visited the building to review the progress of Rs.38 crore project accompanied by Mr. Som Parkash CPS and Secretary Mr. Ashok Gupta issued directions to the concerned to complete the project with in stipulated time and focus on quality control.

Bhagat asked the engineers and officers of the department to complete of this building on time by before December 15, 2013. Anil Kansal, Chief Engineer, briefed the Minister that 95 percent work of this project has been completed. The Minister said that this building would be architectural master piece equipped with modern gadgets like centralized AC system and connecting with wi fi system. He added that this new Bhawan would also have ultra modern Auditorium of 350 seat capacity.
