Minister for Health & Medical Education, Taj Mohi ud Din today asked the concerned officers to gear up for completing the requisite formalities within time frame for starting work at the five proposed Medical Colleges in the State.Chairing a review meeting to oversee the progress registered on that count, the Minister asked the Nodal Officers for urgent compliance within the deadline schedule of Medical Council of India regulations for setting up of medical colleges and other formalities.

The meeting was informed that the process of signing MoU has been initiated, classrooms are being prepared and laboratories are being set up.Taj asked the Nodal Officers to work in sync with Directors of Health of Kashmir and Jammu provinces for resolving land acquisition and other infrastructural issues. Commissioner-Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Mr. Gazzanfar Hussain, Directors Health of Kashmir and Jammu, Mission Director, NRHM, Principals of GMC, Srinagar & Jammu besides Nodal Officers for five proposed Medical Colleges were present in the meeting.
