Punjab Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann, and AAP Convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, will launch the 'Bhagwant Mann Sarkar Tuhade Dwar' scheme in Ludhiana tomorrow. Giving this information to the media at Chandigarh party headquarters on Saturday, Aam Aadmi Party Punjab Chief Spokesperson, Malvinder Singh Kang, said that after the implementation of this scheme, almost all the paperwork required by the common people for various government services will be completed while sitting at home. Under this, people will get 43 civic services at their doorstep.
Kang said that almost all government services will come under the purview of this scheme, except arms license, Aadhaar card and stamp paper. Under this scheme, people can enjoy doorstep facilities for various services like birth, marriage, death, income, residence, caste, rural area, border area, backward area, pension, electricity bill payment, land demarcation certificate and other civil facilities.
The government has issued a helpline number "1076". By calling on this number, people will be able to schedule appointments as per their convenience and get their work done. Once the time and date is decided, people will be informed about the required documents, fees, etc. For this, people will also receive an SMS with the list of required documents and the date/time of the appointment.
To accomplish this task, specially trained staff will visit their homes/offices at scheduled times with tablets and complete the necessary paperwork, collect fees and provide receipts, with which citizens will be able to track their applications. Soft copy of their certificates will be sent to the mobile phone and hard copy of the documents will be delivered at home.
Kang said that this scheme will provide relief to the common people of Punjab. Now they will not have to visit government offices for these civic services. Earlier, people had to visit government offices and stand in queues for hours to get these documents certified. Apart from this, after the implementation of this scheme, people will also get freedom from the middlemen.
