Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Inderjeet Singh Parihar reviewed the progress achieved under the District Environment Plan. The meeting discussed different aspects including Solid Waste Management, Biomedical Waste Management, Plastic Waste Management, Domestic Sewerage Management, E-Waste Management.

While reviewing the status of the implementation of the Solid Waste Management Plan, the ADC directed the EO MC to ensure the scientific and regulated disposal of solid waste. The District Officer Pollution Control Board was also directed to constitute anti-polythene squads to enforce ban on the banned material.The MCs were instructed to enhance door-to-door garbage collection, waste segregation, and immediate improvement of garbage dumping sites. 

Regarding the disposal of Biomedical Waste, the ADC directed the Health Department to strictly implement the guidelines. The meeting was attended by DMO Kishtwar Dr Brijesh Manhas, District Officer PCB Mukesh Singh Bali, CAHO Dr Ajaz Hussain, CAO Amjad Hussain besides other members.
