The second day of Parivartan 2K23, the annual techno-cultural fest hosted by CGC Landran, reached its conclusion with a resounding message of embracing change for the betterment of society and the economy.

This remarkable event witnessed winners from a multitude of colleges across the region, excelling in a diverse array of categories, including technical, non-technical, and cultural competitions, earning cash prizes totaling Rs 10 Lakh.

The competition in the technical category was fierce, encompassing a wide range of events such as ideathons, robo soccer, coding wars, project exhibitions, and quizathons. Participants in the non-technical segment showcased their talents in business pitchathons, B-Plan presentations, writing competitions, culinary artistry without fire, exquisite mehendi artistry, and soulful renditions of the traditional 'Sohni Gutta.'

The cultural category sparkled with electrifying dance performances, melodious singing, captivating folk dance presentations, thought-provoking Nukkad Nataks, exhilarating DJ Wars, and enthralling skits.

SD College clinched the top positions in the Sargam contest and the Bhangra competition, while SVIET emerged victorious in the dance competition 'Magic Moves.' Chitkara University stood out in the theatrical Sanskriti segment, and Chandigarh University (CU) garnered an award of appreciation in the Alaap category.

Dr. Sandeep Garg, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Mohali, graced the event as the Chief Guest on the second day. His presence added an extra layer of prestige to the festivities.

Accompanying him were eminent personalities, including Satnam Singh Sandhu, the Chairman of CGC Landran, who held the distinguished position of Guest of Honour. Mr. Harjeet Singh Rana, VP of HR at Winsome Textiles Ltd., also lent his presence, along with the Campus Director of CGC Landran and other respected dignitaries.

In his address, Dr. Garg encouraged students to relish their college experiences, make cherished memories, and live life to the fullest. He reminisced about his own student days and expressed how participating in this event rekindled those fond memories.

Dr. Garg commended the organizers and participants for showcasing an exceptional display of talent and creative prowess, extending his best wishes for their future endeavors. He also stressed the importance of steering clear of the perils of substance abuse and urged the youth to support the government and law enforcement agencies in their efforts to combat this menace.

Dr. Garg further encouraged students to use dedicated helpline numbers to report drug-related incidents without fear. The grand event culminated with spectacular live singing performances by acclaimed actors and singers, Jassie Gill and Babbal Rai, leaving the audience enthralled and spellbound. Parivartan 2K23 has undoubtedly left an indelible mark, promoting talent, creativity, and positive change in the hearts and minds of all those who attended.
