Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that in the city where an airport is established, investment increases, industries are set up and naturally there is economic progress in area. In this context, today the foundation stone of the domestic airport has been laid in Ambala, under which in the coming time, new avenues of development will created along with the economic progress of Ambala and the surrounding areas.

Sh. Manohar Lal was addressing the huge crowd present today after performing Bhoomi Pujan and laying the foundation stone of the domestic airport in Ambala Cantonment. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana Sh. Dushyant Chautala and Home Minister Sh. Anil Vij were also present.

Describing today as an auspicious day, the Chief Minister said that today is the first day of Navratri and he has laid the foundation stone of the domestic airport in Ambala. He said that many activities related to aero industry are being done in the state under which the final process of setting up an airport in Hisar is going on and he hopes that it will be operational by the end of this year or early next year.

Manohar Lal said that Haryana will get a lot of strategic benefits in terms of air services, under which Faridabad will get the benefit of the airport being established in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, the airport established in Chandigarh also includes part of Haryana. 

Regarding the civil airport to be established in Ambala, the Chief Minister said that this airport will benefit the most as compare to another because this airport is being established under the UDAN scheme.The Chief Minister said that for this airport to be established in Ambala, land has been paid for Rs 133 crores and the work of the terminal will be started with an amount of Rs 20.5 crores. 

The Chief Minister said that after the construction of this airport, routes from Ambala to Dehradun, Shimla, Lucknow etc. will started.He said that the common man benefits from the development of rail, road etc. In this context, approval has been given for the rail line from Western Haryana to Haridwar and Rs 50 to 60 crore has been sanctioned for roads by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. 

He said that bypass has been built in Ambala and now Eastern Bypass has been approved which will create employment opportunities. He said that among the big states, Haryana has the highest per capita income which is Rs 2.95 lakh per person per year.

Application given by the Civil Aviation Department for flights from Ambala to Srinagar, Banaras, Jaipur, Amritsar and Delhi - Deputy Chief Minister Sh. Dushyant Chautala

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister and Civil Aviation Minister Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the domestic airport to be established in Ambala will be the third flying airport in the state. He said that to establish this airport, by re-developing the infrastructure, services can be provided to 200 passengers at a time. He said that applications have been given by the Civil Aviation Department for flights from Ambala to Srinagar, Banaras, Jaipur, Amritsar and Delhi. 

He said that this airport of Ambala will be a strategic center so that the people of the surrounding areas will get the benefit of connectivity.Sh. Chautala said that air connectivity has increased in the last four years and the number of people traveling in AC trains is about 14 crores whereas the number of people traveling in the economy class of airbus is 17 crores. 

He said that the aviation industry is developing very fast and it is progressing rapidly. He said that the budget of the airport to be established in Hisar has been increased from Rs 38 crore to Rs 957 crore. The Deputy Chief Minister said that pilot training institutes are being functional in Pijore, Karnal, Narnaul, Bhiwani. 

He said that 170 children are taking pilot training private institute set up in Narnaul and Bhiwani, out of which 29 children are working in IndiGo and Air India."Today, when we are in power, we are doing the work of development of the state and when we were in opposition, we used to raise the voice of the people" - Anil Vij

Expressing happiness, Home and Health Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that today the foundation stone of an ambitious domestic airport has been laid for the people of Ambala. He said that it took about two and a half years to complete this project.

Referring to a poem, Sh. Vij said that the poem "The King Bruce and the Spider" inspires him a lot. Just as the spider in this poem tries to climb up again and again, similarly he also tries continuously as a result of which today this project has been setting up.

Praising the working system of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, he said that the Prime Minister started the UDAN scheme under the RCS. A common citizen of the country i.e. a person wearing slippers can fly by plane. He said that today the whole world is saluting the thinking of the Prime Minister. 

He said that be it Russia-Ukraine war or Israel-Gaza war, all the people of the world are looking towards the Prime Minister.Sh. Vij said that recently 33 percent reservation has been given to women in Parliament. Some people cried over this decision, but why didn't those who ruled this country for 70 years take this decision earlier? 

He said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi has taken various decisions to empower women, under which attention has been paid to cleanliness along with Har Ghar Jal Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Har Ghar Shochalay. 

He said that Ayushman Bharat scheme has been implemented. He said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi has done the work of empowering women and now women will also contribute in building the country.

Attacking the Aam Aadmi Party, the Home Minister said that Aam Aadmi Party is a big scam party because they are neither able to work while in power nor are they able to do the work of the opposition properly. 

He said that today when we are in power, we are doing the work of development of the state and when we were in opposition, we used to raise the voice of the people. He said that earlier Haryana was infamous in terms of jobs because earlier there used to be a market for jobs. 

He said that for the first time jobs are being given on the basis of ability. Giving the example of a lab technician, he said that once he had gone to a government hospital to administer an injection, the lab technician there told him that he was from a poor family and had got the job without any recommendation.

He said that by using the online system, there has been transparency in every work and the Chief Minister has curbed corruption. He expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister as well as Defense Minister Sh. Rajnath Singh for setting up the domestic airport at Ambala as it has made the Mission Impossible to possible. 

Thanking the Chief Minister, he said that the Chief Minister immediately approved Rs 133 crore for 20 acres of land and similarly the Deputy Chief Minister gave its approval through WhatsApp while sitting in England. 

He said that I get strength from the love of the people, that is why the foundation stone of the domestic airport has been laid here today. He said that with the arrival of the airport, employment opportunities will be created and the industry will grow here.

Earlier, Dr Raja Shekhar Vundru, Additional Chief Secretary, Civil Aviation Department, addressed the gathering. On this occasion, Sh. Shekhar Vidyarthi, Advisor, Civil Aviation Department,  gave a vote of thanks. In the programme, Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal, Deputy Chief Minister Sh. Dushyant Chautala, Home Minister Sh. Anil Vij, Rajya Sabha MP Karthikeya Sharma, Air Force and Army officers were honored with mementos.
