Appreciating Bashir Ahmad Mir, Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate from Kangan assembly segment, for his outstanding bravery and courage in rescuing the body of a person from the gushing Sindh River, the party president, Mehbooba Mufti, Thursday said it is only through the inspiring youth like Mir Kashmir could be transformed into a modern, peaceful and inclusive society.Pertinently, Mir, few days back, had recovered the body of a person, who was washed down the Sindh River, in a daredevil mission.In a statement she said the unimagined bravery shown by Mir in rescuing the body from the river speaks volumes about the immense courage and selfless care for humanity Mir has been possessing.Mehbooba said it is not the first that Mir has shown such an inspiring courage but in the past as well he, through similar acts, has made a name for himself, his people and the area he belong to. She said we need more and more youth like him in our society to help Kashmir grow on the modern lines. (GNS)
