The Chairman and employees of Punjab Warehousing Corporation today contributed Rs 37.95 lakh and PSEB Engineers Association contributed Rs 36.29 lakh in Chief Minister’s relief fund by handing over the cheque to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
The Chairman of Corporation had contributed his one month’s salary whereas the employees had given their one day’s salary for the noble cause. Similarly, the PSEB Engineers Association also contributed their one month’s salary worth Rs 36.29 lakh for the fund.
Lauding this benevolent gesture, the Chief Minister said these donations will go a long way in extending a helping hand to the needy people.The Chief Minister appreciated the services rendered by these employees in harsh conditions during summer, winter and rainy season.
Profusely thanking the people who were coming forward to help the people in this hour of crisis, he said that it is the need of the hour to ensure that the distressed people get timely help. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that every penny of people's contribution will give a major relief to the needy people.
