As we are all aware that recently Mithoo opened up about the making of the film, Dear Jassi, a movie based on his tragic love story as the filmmakers had no rights to produce it. In fact, it is Dreamreality Movies who are permitted to produce the biopic. Dear Jassi, has already been screened abroad and has been praised well.
The film was scheduled for release soon, but Mithoo and Dreamreality Movies filed a lawsuit against T-Series, requesting a stay of execution because only Dreamreality Movies had the legal authority to make the biopic. For the time being, the court has legitimately asked for detention orders to prevent T-Series and other parties from releasing the film Dear Jassi.
The court of Shri Vijay kumar (Adj) Ludhiana heard the arguments regarding the stay plea in this matter and issued temporary orders preventing the release of the movie until further orders are issued.
Senior attorney PPS Chahal appeared on behalf of Dreamreality movies and stated that M/s Dreamreality movies has the exclusive right to produce any film based on the life of Jassi Sidhu and that no other company has the right to do so.
