To ensure timely completion of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) projects in the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad Monday convened a meeting to assess the progress of the execution of works.

During the meeting, the DC assessed the progress of the works being executed under PMGSY in different regions of the district. He stressed the importance of their timely completion. He also took stock the challenges faced by the executing agencies, including adverse weather conditions and terrain difficulties.

The DC directed the concerned authorities to identify and resolve bottle necks that act as hindrances in the execution of the projects. He also directed the concerned for the resolution of Kehnusa-Tangwari and Athwatoo-Chamdaji road related issues.

The DC was informed that the department has already made a remarkable achievement in connecting the people via roads and bridges. He was further assured by the concerned authorities that all the pendencies and issues shall be redressed timely.

The meeting was attended by ADC Bandipora, Umar Shafi; ACR Bandipora, Shabir Ahmad; JD Planning, Imtiyaz Ahmed; Superintending Engineer, PMGSY, Tehsildars of Bandipora and Aloosa, besides Officers of PMGSY including Executive Engineer PMGSY Bandipora.
