Bank of India, one of India’s leading public sector banks, celebrated its 118th Foundation Day on 7th Sept 2023 across all its offices. This historic occasion promises to be a memorable day steeped into tradition, innovation, and a resolute dedication to corporate social responsibility.
The day’s festivities commenced with the MD & CEO, Mr. Rajneesh Karnatak, joined by all EDs Mr. P.R. Rajagopal, , Mr. Swarup Dasgupta , Mr. M Karthikeyan and Mr. Subrat Kumar, CGMs, and GMs, by performing Ganesh Puja at its Head Office. Team BOI lead by their MD & CEO later joined the event of balloon raising with soaring dedication to transcend to become a truly Digital Bank.
In the evening, the festivities kicked off with the rendition of the National Anthem followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the MD & CEO and all four EDs. The chief guest of the evening was Dr. Rajan Kurade, who is currently working as a Senior Principal Scientist in National Trisonic Aerodynamic.
Dr. Kurade has published over 20 research papers in journals and conferences and over 70 technical documents. Dr. Kurade along with his team members was involved in around 3000 wind tunnel tests to characterise the Launch Vehicle Mark 3 which carried Chandrayaan-3 from Sriharikota.
On this Foundation Day, MD and CEO unveiled its Universal App named “BOI Mobile-Omni Neo Bank”. MD & CEO conveyed that BOI Mobile-Omni Neo Bank is quantum shift towards achieving the highest standards of customer service which offers more than 200 services to customers.
This application will make our customers to enjoy 360 degree banking facilities along with investments, payments/ remittances, shopping and managing all accounts seamlessly. The bank has implemented new-age adaptive authentication to enhance the security and authentication framework for customers.
The BOI Mobile-Omni Neo Bank App represents a significant step forward in enhancing customer experience and convenience, reaffirming Bank’s commitment to deliver all banking facilities digitally. On this occasion, bank duly recognized the importance of giving back to society through CSR and extended financial support to the Vision Foundation of India (VFI) for free eye check-ups & surgeries for poor and needy as well as to the Society for the Vocational Rehabilitation of the Retarded (SVRR).
