Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu during his visit to Jaisinghpur and Sulah assembly segments of Kangra district reviewed the ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts and interacted with the disaster hit families.He visited various villages in both the constituencies and assessed the damages caused to public and private property. 

The Chief Minister interacted with the families in severely landslip affected Netru and Dehru Kosari villages of Jaisinghpur and assured of unwavering support to them from the State Government, besides directing the administration to identify suitable land for the families affected by the natural calamity. 

He also took stock of the Government Middle School in Chandraun and ordered for its renovation and announced to upgrade the school upto 10th class from the next academic session. He also visited landslide hit areas in Siara Kudana. 

The Chief Minister reiterated to declare ward-wise areas in worst disaster hit Gram Panchayats as disaster-affected areas which would qualify the affected individuals to receive enhanced compensation.

The Chief Minister said that the government was delivering the special relief package as designed to aid disaster victims. Earlier, the amount of compensation given for partial damage to pucca house was Rs. 12,500 and Rs. 10,000 was given for partial damage of kutcha house, which has been enhanced to rupees one lakh now. 

He assured of all possible assistance to those who suffered losses.The Chief Minister also inspected the damaged Paprola Bridge and directed the Public Works Department to prepare a DPR for the construction of a new bridge at the same place. 

Later, the Chief Minister also visited Bachwain, Parmar Nagar in Sukah and other areas of Sulah assembly and interacted with the disaster hit families. There were reports of land subsidence wherein nine families in Bachwain and 19 in Parmar Nagar were suffered the losses.  

He directed to allocate of land measuring six marlas each to the affected families. The Chief Minster also met the families having taken shelter in the relief camps and reiterated the state government’s resolve of unwavering support to ensure rehabilitation of the affected families.

Chief Minister Parliamentary Secretary, Kishori Lal, Chairman Tourism Development Corporation, Raghubir Singh Bali, MLA Yadvinder Goma, Chairman Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Rural and Agricultural Development Bank, Sanjay Singh Chauhan, Chairman Kangra Central Cooperative Bank, Kuldeep Pathania, were also present on the occasion.
