The NSS Unit Government Degree College Neeli Nallah today organized poster making and Slogan writing competition on “Ill effects of Drug Abuse '' under Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign.The event was conducted under the guidance of the College Principal, Prof. Hans Raj.

As many as one dozen students participated in the competition who presented their posters depicting different serious ill effects of drug abuse.Speaking on the occasion, the College Principal emphasized that the habit of drug abuse not only greatly affects the body and mind, but also finishes the bright future of a person. 

“Sometimes students make use of drugs to stimulate their performance in sports and studies because of peer pressure of scoring good rank without knowing that they are jeopardizing their life” he said. He also stressed upon the students to adopt sports and yoga activities as a part of their daily life to enhance their performance in sports and sharpen the brain instead of indulging in drug addiction.

Rupali Rajput of Sem 5th, Neharika Sharma of Sem 5th, Aman Sharma of Sem 3rd secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively.The program was organized by Dr. Radha Rani, NSS PO and Dr. Swati Dutt. Others present were  Neha Devi,  Zahoor Ahmad Mir,  Pradeep Kumar, Mrs. Kumari Mahima Bhagat,  Akhter Hussain Rather.
