Following 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaign, Secretary, Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (DDM,R&R), Nazim Zia Khan who is Prabhari Officer for Surinder Panchayat on Friday visited Bandipora to take stock of development scenario of Surindar Panchayat.

Secretary reviewed progress on various development works and programmes launched for welfare and development of the public including distribution of land passbooks, status of PM Kissan and other ongoing development works including JJM works.

Secretary expressed his satisfaction on the work done so far and stressed on timely completion of ongoing projects by further expediting the pace of works with 100% expenditure. Nazim Zia also took stock of progress on directions issued during the fourth phase of ‘Back to Village’ program.

Secretary visited various spots and inspected ongoing works including distribution of water pipelines in the area under JJM.During his visit, the Secretary also held an interactive session with the general public in which people raised various issues of public importance. Secretary issued on spot directions for redressal of public issues.District officers of various departments were also present on the occasion.
