The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Sakhi One Stop Centre (OSC), and Women Helpline 181 today jointly organized an awareness program at GHSS Narbal showcasing an unwavering commitment towards women’s empowerment and societal transformation.

The event held as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, aimed to enlighten students about the government’s invaluable initiatives, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), and Nasha Mukht Bharat, which promote gender equality and combat substance abuse.

Under the guidance of DSWO Budgam, the DHEW played a pivotal role in raising awareness among attendees, igniting a spirit of action, and ensuring the resounding success of these programs.

Recognizing the transformative potential of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Nasha Mukht Bharat, the DHEW team tirelessly conveyed their message thereby fostering positive social change, and striving to build an equitable society free from substance abuse.

Distinguished speakers at this event illuminated various government initiatives that create an environment conducive to women exercising their choices, gaining control over their lives, and accessing opportunities. These initiatives empower women to make a significant impact on society, addressing gender disparities and discrimination in a positive and impactful manner.
