The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) of Poonch, Malikzada Sheraz Ul Hag, today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for the Annual Urs Mubarak at the shrine of  Hazrat Sain Baba Miran Baskesh being celebrated on June 16th, 17th, and 18th at Kopra Guntrian.

The meeting was attended by General Manager DIC, Dr.Zakir Hussain, Assistant Commissioner Development, Abid Hussain Shah, District Information Officer Poonch, Vishaldeep Chandan,  ARTO Poonch, Basharat Mehmood, Xen PDD, Irshad Hussain, Xen PHE, Riaz Ahmed,  Programme Executive, G.N Mir,  DTO/DHO, Dr.Femida Banday, District Ayush Officer, Dr.Sanjay Raina, Didtrict Traffic Inspector, Ajaz Parviaz  beside other concerned officers and relgious heads and prominent citizens were present in the meeting.

 In the meeting religious heads and their representatives raised various demands for the smooth conduct of the event.During the meeting, various issues were discussed, including security arrangements, uninterrupted power and water supply, provision of firewood, ration, cooking gas, and extra buses for the convenience of the pilgrims. The repair of roads and provision of medical facilities with first aid camps were also discussed.

The ADDC directed the concerned officials and departments to ensure the provision of all necessary facilities for the pilgrims. The SSP Poonch was asked to make arrangements by deploying a sufficient number of personnel on the Urs Days, while the JAL Shakti and JPDCL were directed to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply. 

The range officer of Social Forestry was asked to provide firewood, and the AD Food was directed to provide the required ration and cooking gas.The District information officer Poonch, Vishaldeep Chandan and Programme Executive, G.N Mir of All India Radio Poonch were directed to ensure coverage of the Urs Mubarak, and the Dysp traffic was asked to regulate parking of vehicles.

The ARTO Poonch, Basharat Mehmood was asked to provide extra buses for Mandi, Surankote, Mendhar, Chandak, and Jhullas to facilitate the devotees, and the XEN PWD was directed to repair the roads for the smooth flow of traffic.

The CMO was directed to provide medical facilities like ambulances and first aid camps, while the Assistant Commissioner Development was asked to install temporary toilets.The CEO Municipality was directed to provide sweepers, lights and ensure cleanliness.
