Maurh Movie Review
Story And Screenplay
The story of two boys who experience discrimination from society as a result of their poverty but Kishna Maurh (Dev Kharoud) never stepped back to raise his voice against this, still he is unable to make any change in the society and later turn into a bandit where he joins Jaimal (Kuljinder Sidhu) and Dogar (Vikramjeet Virk). Amiek Virk, Parmveer Singh, Naiqra Kaur and many characters fall in the storyline doing their parts. Finally, Ammy Virk gets a motive to become a bandit and what was the reason and what he really did after becoming a bandit will be disclosed in the movie.
When you thought the movie was about to advance to a new level, the film's unconvincing screenplay ruined that pace many times during the movie which could have been better.
Acting
A film being made with a large cast of celebrities, every character got a chance to showcase their abilities and skills giving justice to their individual roles. The selection of each character was flawless and they have done an excellent job in playing their parts. But to mention a few names Ammy Virk, Dev Kharoud, Amiek Virk, Marc Randhawa and Vikramjeet Virk have proved that no other actor was fit to play their roles.
The rest of the cast has supported together accordingly to produce a significant film.
Direction And Writing
Jatinder Mauhar has done an exemplary job and he will be remembered for executing this storyline for a long time. The introduction of every character at the right timing made it look very convincing. Understanding the use of picturesque locations, undoubtedly he has not at all compromised at any point and has captured some admirable shots.
The storyline looked a bit fussy with no clear intention of finishing it in one go but the beautiful thing was every character was written perfectly and no one looked in or out which overshadowed the flaws.
Music
The movie's background music was incredibly captivating which gave the ideal sense of the story at every turn and made everyone hooked to the screens. This is one of the best movies in terms of background scores in a very long time.
Disappointing were the three songs in the movie which didn't have any impact as a viewer. Even Amrinder Gill’s song was not that catchy.
Conclusion
Overall Maurh will give you never seen before moments in the movie with excellent performances. You can surely give it a go.
Team 5 Dariya News gives 3.5 stars to Maurh. 1.5 Stars are snipped due to fussy screenplay, disappointing songs and some dubbing issues in action sequences.
