With the scorching heat giving tough time to the people here during ongoing Ramadan, the weathermen Thursday predicted no change in weather for the coming days.According to the reports received by KNS, Srinagar recorded the temperature of 31.7 °C while as the minimum recorded as 19.2 °C.  The state metrological department here maintained that the sky will mainly remain clear over the summer capital with maximum and minimum temperatures would be round 32°C and 15°C respectively. Much heat was recorded in Jammu region on Thursday with the temperatures recorded as 39.2 °C while as the minimum was recorded as 23.8 °C. It was informed further that there will be mainly clear sky with the maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 40°C and  24°C respectively in the next 24 hours.In ladakh region, temperatures will be mainly around 28°C 14°C respectively on Friday.

Srinagar these days is witnessing much rise in temperatures with the masses preferring to stay indoors during hot hours of noon. During the ongoing Ramadan month when the people are on fasting from early dawn hours to dusk, the scorching heat is giving much tough time to them. The health experts when contacted told KNS that when a person is fasting during the long days of hot summers, some vital steps are ought to be taken to maintain consistency during the month. During the early evening (after maghrib),  people must have a healthy and balanced dinner. They should not overeat, and be sure to drink a few more glasses of fluids. During the evening hours, one must resist the temptation to drink tea, coffee, and soda, instead water should be consumed in a good quantity. It was informed further that the person on fast should sip on water throughout the evening at least eight glasses by bedtime. Light exercise, such as walking for 15-20 minutes, is best done in the evening hours. People also should avoid fried and spicy foods as they may cause heartburn or indigestion. Also one should continue to brush and floss teeth several times a day. Hands should ne regularly. (KNS)
