The two big highly anticipated Punjabi films Lehmberginni and Medal were to clash with their release on the same date 2 June 2023. Lehmberginni passed the release but unfortunately Medal faced some hurdles and got its release postponed to 3 June. The team of Medal especially the lead actor Jayy Randhawa blamed Lehmberginni in the Instagram live while they also mentioned about some censor cuts and delay from the censor board. The director of Lehmberginni, Ishaan Chopra has finally taken a dig into the matter and counter attacked them.
Medal director Ishaan Chopra took to his Instagram story in which he talked about the release of Medal which was going to release with Lehmberginni and talked about the reasons given by the team of Medal about the censor cuts which led to the delay of the film. He even said to respect the norms of the Censor Board and not blame the association for the things that have happened as no one can change them.
He further said that he is feeling very sad that the other team (Medal) is targeting Lehmberginni from all the sides and said that this is an Art Field not politics. He ended with ‘Sarea di filma chalan’.
