Rajya Sabha member Mr. Sandeep Pathak today announced that the historically important town Ferozepur will be developed as a major tourist destination as this land of martyrs have a great potential to attract the tourist from across the world .
Today in a function here , Mr. Pathak said that there will be no dearth of funds for this purpose as he will also spend all his MP fund for the comprehensive development of this district .Addressing a function organized by the District Red Cross Organization for distribution of electric tricycles, wheel chairs, artificial limbs etc. to needy ones , Mr. Pathak also provided Rs. 10 lakh to the society from his MP fund .
Terming the education and health as the primary sector for development by the AAP government, he said that “ it will be a game changer for the border area districts by providing development oriented education and health facilities at reasonable rates “.
Mr. Pathak also said that keeping in view the historical importance of this ancient city , he would soon meet the Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann for the overall development of the city in a planned manner . To provide a larger sense of security amongst citizens , Rajya Sabha MP also announced that CCTVs to be installed at important points in the city, followed by covering the whole district in phased manner .
Deputy Commissioner Mr. Rajesh Dhiman has informed the MP that the 'Har Gaon Ek Khel Maidan' campaign was launched by the Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann from Ferozepur under which playgrounds have been made in 125 villages and more than 500 villages would witnessed such playgrounds.
Besides that a state of art sports complex to be built at Ferozepur to channelise the energy of youth in a positive way . On this occasion, MLA Ferozepur City Mr. Ranbir Singh Bhullar hailed Mr. Pathak decision to select the Ferozepur district for development. MLA Ferozepur (Rural ) Mr. Rajnish Dahiya in his address apprised MP Sandeep Pathak about the development works in the constituency. MLAs Fauja Singh Sarari and Naresh Kataria also shared their views on this occasion.
During the function 90 electrical cycles , 61 wheelchairs, tricycles were distributed to the needy ones by the Red Cross Organization. Earlier a contingent of Punjab police presented a guard of honour to the Rajya Sabha MP. Mr. Pathak and MLAs also paid obeisance at Shaheedi Smarak Hussainiwala and paid floral tributes to the national martyrs.
Promoters amongst present on the occasion included MLA Faridkot Gurdit Singh Sekhon, Chairman Punjab AGRO Shaminder Singh Khinda, Chairman District Planning Committee Chand Singh Gill, Assistant Commissioner Suraj, SDM Ranjit Singh, Secretary Red Cross Ashok Behal, Social Activist Vipul Narang besides workers of AAP .
