Principal Secretary, Education Department, Alok Kumar today toured the Ramgarh area of Samba district to assess potential sites for the proposed Degree College Ramgarh. The Principal Secretary was accompanied by Director of School Education, Jammu, Ashok Kumar; Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Abhishek Sharma along and other officers of education department as well as other senior officers of the District Administration.
The main purpose of the visit was to identify potential locations for the Degree College Ramgarh and also provided a platform for the local population to voice their concerns and seek solutions. During the tour, the Principal Secretary also interacted with the PRI members and the general public of Ramgarh, during the sidelines of Block Divas, organised by district administration Samba.
While interacting with the locals and PRI members, the Principal Secretary said that government remains steadfast in its efforts to prioritize the needs of the public and improve the overall quality of life.
He added that with the help of several ongoing initiatives and increased public awareness of government schemes, the region will witness significant progress and development in the near future. During the interaction, the locals and PRI representatives also raised several issues and concerns with the Principal Secretary regarding the developmental needs of their area.
Taking note of some genuine issues raised by the public, the Principal Secretary promptly directed the officers and officials of the concerned departments to address these grievances on a priority basis, ensuring efficient resolution.
Later, during the tour the Principal Secretary along with officers of district administration took the opportunity to promote the “Kissan Sampark Sammelan” program, aimed to raise awareness among the general public about various government schemes that are currently being implemented for their benefit.
