Regional Transport Authority (RTA) today approved 34 fresh Sage Carriage Permits here at its meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Doda (Chairman RTA), Vishesh Mahajan. Besides sanctioning permits for different categories of vehicles, the meeting discussed the matters related to public transport in the district.
The meeting was attended by SSP, Abdul Qayoom (Member RTA, Doda); ADC, Dr R K Bharti; ACD, Phulail Singh; ARTO, Rajesh Gupta ( Member Secretary, RTA), besides others. A committee headed by ACR and comprising Dy SP Traffic, Dy. SP Headquarter, ARTO and E.O Municipal Council Doda was constituted to designate Auto Rickshaw Stands at different locations in Doda Town.
The Committee will also assess the feasibility of the change of Route applications of Mini-Bus owners. The grant of Fresh Auto Rickshaw Permits and Change of Route Applications were deferred till the submission of report by the Committee.
