Health Department Doda organised a mega health check up cum awareness camp at Village Chatta under HWC-Sub Centre Chata in Medical Block Ghat, the other day.The camp was held by the BMO Office in collaboration with  BPMU NHM Ghat on the directions of Chief Medical Officer,.

The camp was organized as a part of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Adbhut Doda's initiative of District Administration Doda.During the camp, more than 350 people were examined and screened for general health checkup, Diabetes, Hypertension under NCD, besides eye screening and TB screening. 

As many as 115 sputum samples were collected from the patients who were examined free of cost and provided with free medicines by the department.Giving details about the camp, the officials said the health camps are being organised to connect the general public with health services & to aware them about the schemes of the health department.

The vent was conducted by Mashhood Latif (BMEO), Zahid Wani (Sr Asstt.) and Zeeshan Tramboo (I/c Stores) with the help of staff of HWC-SC Chata.Dr Hamid Parray (MO PHC Gundna), Dr Aamir Malik (MO NTPHC Sazan), Dr Tarif Younis (MLHP HWC Chata), Arshad Latief (Lab Tech PHC Gundna), Raju Kumar (Opth. Tech PHC Ghat), Irshad Ahmed (STS DTU Doda) besides local ASHAs rendered their services in making the camp successfull.

Meanwhile, a health awareness lecture on good health & hygiene was delivered by the experts. The people were also sensitized about the mode of transmission, symptoms and treatment of Tuberculosis.
