In a strong display of dissent, the Kharar Journalists Association (KJA) organized a protest at the local bus stand chowk, where they burned effigies representing MC Kharar President Jasprit Kaur Longia and EO Gurdeep Singh. Led by KJA President Pankaj Chadha, the members expressed their outrage over the EO's use of foul language during a meeting held the previous day.

The journalists firmly held President Longia equally responsible for her failure to condemn or intervene when the media boycotted the meeting. They criticized her for not providing the necessary support to the media, especially since she had called for the meeting, leaving her as a passive observer.

With slogans raised against both President Longia and EO Gurdeep Singh, President Pankaj Chadha led the protest alongside all the office bearers and members of the KJA. He announced that a memorandum would be submitted to CM Maan, demanding the immediate removal of the EO and appropriate action against President Longia.

The association issued a 48-hour ultimatum, and a planned Dharna (sit-in protest) was scheduled for Monday at 11 am.The KJA's protest serves as a powerful message, urging accountability and justice for the inappropriate behavior of the EO and the perceived inaction of President Longia in supporting the media.
