Today was the second day of the three-day meeting of the Tourism Task Force of the G-20 summit, which began on Monday in Srinagar. The first day started with a discussion on Film Tourism. 60 delegates are participating in G-20.

The second day of the G-20 meeting in Kashmir was special. The foreign guests who arrived here were seen enjoying the serene beauty of valley Kashmir.The guests enjoyed Shikara ride on Dal Lake here and danced on the song Natu-Natu. Actor Ram Charan, who arrived here, danced with the delegates on the Oscar winning Natu-Natu song.

Delegates enjoyed Shikara ride on World famous Dal Lake 

There is a craze for Shikara among the tourists coming to Jammu and Kashmir. When people come here, they definitely like to ride Shikara.All the delegates taking a Shikara ride in Dal Lake, Srinagar. Shikara is like a boat, which is decorated very beautifully. Lights have also been installed in it, which look even more beautiful at night. 

Many people come only so that they can visit it. It is very fun to experience the plains of Kashmir by sitting on a decorated boat in the middle of the Dal lake.A light breeze, and the boat moving slowly tearing the water and the city of the evening….It seems as if you have come to a city of dreams.

There are some people who love to connect with nature and feel its beauty. Kashmir is one of those places where nature takes turns and draws people towards itself with its beauty.

Monoj Sinha inaugurated 3rd Tourism Working group meet at SKICC

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and Dr Jitendra Singh and G-20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant speaking during the inaugural session in the ongoing 3rd G-20 Tourism Working Group meeting in Srinagar.  

Lt Governor Monoj Sinha said,The 3rd Tourism Working Group Meeting in Srinagar is the biggest gathering of foreign delegates so far. 57 delegates from 27 countries are participating in the G20 meeting and it is reflection of India’s strength and our ancient values of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam".

LG said, It is a matter of great pride for 13 million citizens of the Union Territory to host this G20 meeting of tourism working group that is deliberating on global architecture for sustainable tourism.

I am truly delighted that under India’s G20 Presidency, the G20 tourism working group is focusing on five inter- connected priority areas that will provide a roadmap for tourism as a tool for achieving sustainable development goals, LG said.

Union Minister for Tourism and Culture G kishan reddy says, the Government is working with all G20 countries and other stakeholders to promote sustainable growth of the tourism sector.He added that the ministry of Tourism always looks forward to work with G20 nations to promote sustainable tourism throughout the world including the domestic circuits.

He Reiterated the commitment of the NarendraModi government to work with the G20 members and international organisations to achieve the SDGs.The three-day long G-20 Summit has started on Monday, 22 May. Representatives of 25 countries participated in it on the first day.

Amidst tight security arrangements, the G-20 Tourism Working Group conference was held at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Center SKICC here.Representatives of 25 countries, including 17 of the G-20 member states and eight of the invited guest countries, participated in the three-day conference.

On the last day of the conference, the foreign guests were seen visiting various parts of the summer capital 

This is the first major international event of its kind after 1986 in the Kashmir Valley. In view of security, Marine's Marcos squad and CRPF's water wing personnel have been deployed in Dal Lake.
