The Department of Computer Applications of the University School of Management Studies (USMS) of Rayat Bahra University organized an industrial visit to “Excellence Technology" in Mohali for BCA (2nd semester) students. The objective of the visit was to make the students conversant with the software industry to understand the current market scenarios, the latest most demanding technologies criteria for selection, etc.
Technical Head of Excellence Technology Rubina Dogra conducted a very informative session web development for the students. She also motivated students to select their domain and area of interest. Students learnt about various languages and technologies. They also got conversant with professional work culture and interacted with highly trained professionals.
Speaking on the occasion, Dean Dr Ajay Sharma emphasized that these industrial visits play a vital role in enhancing technical skill of the student which was the need of the hour. He underlined importance of regularly conducting such activities which were essential for updating practical knowledge of the students.
Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University Gurvinder Singh and Vice-Chancellor Dr Parvinder Singh complimented the Department of Computer Applications of the University School of Management Studies (USMS) for organizing the industrial visit and stressed on the need of giving practical exposure to the students.Anita Goyal, Head of Department of Computer Applications, proposed a vote of thanks.
