Two blasts took place in Heritage Street near the Golden Temple in the past. The first blast took place on 6th May and the second on 8th May. Contact was being made with the people nearby and inputs were being taken about the whole incident.

In the preliminary interrogation itself, the arrested terrorists have made big revelations by accepting their crime. The identity of the arrested accused was Azad Veer Singh s/o Jasveer Singh. The arrested accused told that the first two blast in which bomb material was kept in a polythene envelope in a container at the parking lot on May 6, with a thick thread hanging from it. After this, on May 8, around 4 am, another bomb material was kept at the same parking lot and He left from there.
Later, when another passing person saw that thread, it too got blasted when he pulled it. This incident happened around 6.30 am. The arrested terrorists told that together they bought the material for making firecrackers and took a trial by putting stones in it, in which they were successful.
