Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan today chaired an anti- drug awareness program here in the community hall Bhaderwah. The objective of organising the program was to create awareness about hazards of the menace of drugs in the society, particularly among young people.
During the program, the awareness about the increasing effect of drug menaces was imparted to the participants by the speakers.The DC Doda said that Drugaddiction is a disease and it must be treated to make the addict a normal human being. “The teachers have an important role to guide their students towards the right path and make youth aware of the drug menace in society," he said.
He also urged the teachers to imbibe moral values among the children to keep them away from the bad habits.SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom said that any drug peddler or person who is directly or indirectly involved in the drug trafficking will never be spared and be taken to task at every cost.
ADC Bhadarwah Ch Dil Mir, ASP Bhaderwah, CEO BDA, Tehsildar Bhaderwah, and other officers/Officials of Sub District Bhaderwah were also present.
