Diljit Dosanjh & Nimrat Khaira’s Jodi has now finally been released after coming out of all the legal troubles which stayed its release. As we all have heard that patience might be bitter but the result does pay off the success and this statement perfectly fits for Jodi as the fans were eagerly waiting for the film to release and it has proved itself to be worth waiting. We have watched the film Jodi and music as said is the best part which has played a vital role in the film. Story & Screenplay
Story of a boy Rania (Diljit Dosanjh) who gets the responsibility of his family at an early stage of his life. He has special skills in writing songs in every situation he comes around and is fond of singing as well. He started writing songs for singers and desired to record his own duet reel with a popular artist. Kamaljot Kaur (Nimrat Khaira) comes in with a desire of singing with a popular singer. Diljit offers Nimrat to be his singing partner and after many obstacles, it happens. This Jodi faces many hurdles and is being attempted to be knocked down by all means possible, and whether or not it succeeds will be revealed in the film.
The screenplay is perfect which connects us with all the threads from the past easily and also gives us some beautiful moments at regular intervals.
Acting
The film revolves around Diljit and Nimrat and they both have played their parts fabulously. Talking about Diljit’s (Amar Sitara) character is versatile and he has been able to connect with the audience in every situation. The way he dealt with the antagonists by making them shut through his talent, work and courage has shown his daring and never giving up attitude. And we all know the heart and soul relation between Diljit and music which he has proved all through his songs throughout the film.
Nimrat as Kamaljot Kaur is seen the same way she is in real life. She talks less but the way she expresses her emotions through her eyes takes it all. Nimrat has done her job elegantly which has proved that she is here to stay for a long time.
The rest of the cast did well and supported the entire cast beautifully throughout the movie.
Music
The music part has been the USP from day one and has really taken the hearts as it has many songs of various feels and vibes including romantic songs from Jodi Teri Meri to devotional song Meri Kalam Na Bole, and many many more. The versatility in the songs, the heartwarming lyrics, the soulful voice and the incredible composition have made it worth watching the film.
The film's background score is flawless and perfectly exaggerates all of the emotions that keep us glued to the screens. Throughout the film, it delivers spine-chilling moments.

Direction & Writing
Amberdeep Singh has created a masterpiece of his own written script. The storyline of the film cannot be better than this, it is just flawless and has proven the ‘more than 10 years to be worth that the film has taken to be created. The implementation that Amberdeep has done through his direction is perfect which takes you to the traditions and cultures of Punjab. One can properly feel the connection between the characters, and their emotions and talk about the chemistry of Diljit and Nimrat, the way it is illustrated and the eye contact that they maintain is like a cherry on the top of a pie.
Amberdeep has overall done a great job in the creation of this film and his work will be remembered for a long time in the industry.
Conclusion
We can call this film an incredible sensation which will always be remembered as one of the most successful and great films in the Punjabi industry. Diljit-Nimrat Jodi will stay with the audience for a long time. A must-watch.
Meanwhile, 5 Dariya News gives Jodi 4.5 stars. Half star is snipped due to a slow start and some unwanted scenes which could have been avoided.
