On the eve of civil services Day,  District administration Anantnag today organised a function at VC Hall of the DC office complex.  21th April every year is dedicated to the civil servants and to reflect back what they have done years back. On this day they make plans for the coming years for their departments. 

The day was chosen to commemorate the day in 1947 when sardar Vallabhbhai Patel ,the first home minister of independent India addressed the probationary officers at All India Administrative services training at Metcalfe Delhi. 

 Various civil service officers of District Anantnag including the CEO PDA, SE Hydraulic, SE KPDCL, District programme officer ICDS, ACD, AD FS&CA AC Labour department recall their commitment for the cause of citizens and for the nation besides share their achievements and experience as civil servants.      

Deputy commissioner Anantnag Dr Basharat Qayoom  on the occasion said that being a civil service officer one needs to be very, energetic, ambitious, vibrant, honest and foremost very dedicated towards his duties and must have fast disposal rate besides to ensure administrative mechanism.

He directed the officers to be dedicated, towards their duties and ensure the smooth functioning of government offices. Besides the above officers, ADC, (A),CMO, CHO,DAO, EOs, and other officers were present on the occasion.
