Asserting that the BJP is committed to strengthening inclusiveness and taking forward the mission of holistic development to next level in Jammu and Kashmir, former minister and Pradesh Vice President Mr Surjeet Singh Slathia today said a sound base have been laid in the recent years and the day is not far when the Union Territory will witness huge transformation in each and every sector.

Speaking at a function, held at BJP District Headquarters here, to welcome over 200 prominent citizens and political activists in the party fold, Mr Slathia referred to various path-breaking initiatives taken during the past three years for the welfare of the people.

He said the BJP is the only destination for public spirited people and those who believe in Nation First, hoping that those joining the party will take forward its political philosophy in mission mode.

Cautioning against the dubious and deceptive political entities, who were attempting to strain Jammu and Kashmir tryst with progress, development and harmony as per the cherished agenda of Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi’s solemn pledge of Sabka Saath,  Sabka Vikas,  Sabka Vishwas,  Sabka Priyas, Mr Slathia said the people cannot be dissuaded from their chosen path of being the part of the country’s growth story, with equal opportunities to all, irrespective of region, religion or caste.

Mr S S Slathia referred to the fast changing landscape of Jammu and Kashmir, after the political developments of August 2019 which paved the way for implementing all the schemes here like other parts of the country.

He said the Union Territory is witnessing discernible transformation in all the economic and developmental sectors with special thrust on encouraging investments. This is a key point for a place where industrial development has not been substantial which has largely impacted the growth and job generation.

He also referred to the laudable efforts of pursuing and pushing the developmental initiatives to the next level so that the benefits percolate down to targeted segments of the society in a time bound manner, he added.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included BJP Samba President Mr Kashmira Singh, President Organisation Mr Ankush Jamwal, President Yuva BJP, Ankush Mahajan, Mandal and Co Convener BJP Sports Cell President Mr Rajeshwar Singh and others.
