Aiming to make Punjab a healthy state as per the vision of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Punjab Medical Education & Research Minister Dr Balbir Singh on Tuesday gave a clarion call to the Nursing students to adopt one village and examine Blood Pressure, Sugar and Weight of each person living in the village to pave a way for creating hale and hearty Punjab.

“Apart from this, also educate them (people) to partake only nutritious food and exhort them to spend one hour in a day on exercise, whether it's a walk or yoga, and ask them to keep smiling,” he said, while  ensuring them full support and facilities from his side. “If we could be able to educate people about these three-four things, they won’t suffer any kind of disease or obesity ever,” he added.

Dr Balbir Singh was addressing a one-day workshop on “Administrative skills & latest trends in Nursing Education” organised by the Punjab Nurses Registration Council  (PNRC) at Municipal Bhawan here. Indian Nursing Council (INC) President Dr T Dilip Kumar, Secretary Dr Saravjeet Kaur and Joint Secretary KS Bharti also attended the workshop.
