Film industry has its own real struggles that one cannot deny. Watching films is a very easy task but the hard work done in making that film is just unimaginable. Choosing the perfect cast and then making the cast fit in the role perfectly is one of the most difficult tasks. Actors work really hard on their body to flawlessly portray their role. Here we have the transformational journey of some actors who underwent tremendous change in appearance for a movie.
Ravi Dubey a well known television actor who is all set to portray an unconventional avatar in his upcoming film Farradday is going through a long process of transformation. He started doing strategic workouts so that his muscles become loose, fats start increasing in the body. He has to go undergo prosthetic make-up for the character which takes almost 4-5 hours for him to get ready. At the time he shared his looks from the film, his fans were shocked to see him as he looked old with loose muscles and skin, partially bald and wrinkles on forehead. His transformation looks very complex.
At the age of 50’s when most of the people start facing problems even in walking properly at that time Shahrukh Khan at the age of 57 built eight pack abs for his record breaking film Pathaan. It is not the first time SRK worked so hard on his physique to portray characters. He underwent such transformations for his films like Om Shanti Om, Happy New Year and more. Shahrukh worked for a long time to get a perfect chiselled body with abs to the high octane action scenes in the film Pathaan which proved it worth.
One of the most versatile actors of Bollywood, Aamir Khan could go to great extents to portray the role perfectly and that he proved through his transformation journey from the film Dangal. He had to portray two different avatars in films, one of a father with a big fat belly and another of a young wrestler with ultimate physique. He worked day and night and reduced weight from 97 kgs with 37 percent body fat to 9.6 percent body fat in 5 months. His transformation journey is unimaginable and an inspiration to many.
Rajkumar Rao underwent a stunning transformation to portray the role of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. He put his heart and soul and gave his full dedication in gaining 12 kgs. He even chopped his frontal hairs. His transformation from chiselled body to a paunch with heavy weight gain caught public attention a lot.
Dum Laga Ke Haisha actress Bhumi Pednekar gained a lot of kgs for the film and weighed 89 kgs to portray the role. She consumed 800 calories a day to fit in but she loved doing as she was a big foodie and also she did not want to lose such a golden opportunity. But the main struggle was to get back in shape after the completion of the movie. She worked day and night and lost 35 Kgs in just four months without the help of any trainer or a nutritionist and gave credit to her mother for her weight loss as she helped her a lot in choosing the diet.

Randeep Hooda underwent a drastic body transformation to fit in the titular role from his movie Sarbjit. He shed 18 Kgs in just 28 days to look exceptionally skinny which is next to impossible for every second person. He consumed only 500-600 calories per day. His drastic underweight transformation and his unbelievable dedication proved itself to be worth it.
For the movie Toofaan, Farhan Akhtar has to undergo a lot of hard work as he had to appear in two very different avatars in the film portraying the role of a boxer, one with a chiseled body and other with a paunch. To bulk up his body, he consumed 5000 calories per day to be overweight. For another look, his calories consumption was reduced to 3000 per day to 1200-1500 calories per day. He also once shared his picture on Instagram in which he can be seen in different shapes of the time when he moved from 69 Kgs to 85 Kgs to 77 Kgs.
Salman Khan has to go out of his comfort zone for his movie Sultan in which he portrayed the role of a wrestler. He had to undergo drastic transformation as he had to first gain weight of almost 15-18 Kgs for a part of the movie and then cut off the extra kgs for the other look in the film. He fluctuated between different phases of weight from 78-82 Kgs to 90 Kgs to almost 100 Kgs and he did all these changes during the shoot of the film.
Kangana Ranaut has always shown her versatility through her different types of roles in films. Speaking about one of her versatile characters in the biopic film Thalaivi in which she portrayed the role of an actor-politician J Jayalalithaa. She underwent a massive body transformation as she gained 20 Kgs of weight to perfectly fit in the character. She had to lose all the weight in a span of months which she did but faced many challenges as she also developed stretch marks across her body due to these rapid changes in weight.
