Nowshera Forest Division organised a large function at Sunderbani and Nowshera to distribute beauty parlour kits and fruit plants today. The Chief Guest was District Development Council (DDC) Member Sunderbani, Rajinder Sharma and the Guest of Honour was Divisional Forest Officer Nowshera, Neelima Shah.

The programme was attended by Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) members, members of Municipal Committee Sunderbani, students, beneficiaries and a large number of locals.

Neelima Shah spoke about the various employment generation activities undertaken by the Forest Department under the Green India Mission to increase self-employment among locals.

The Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Forest Department is working towards livelihood options and exploring employment generation involving youth and women, especially in the Chir Zone ecosystem of J&K Union Territory.
