The J&K Science Technology & Innovation Council, Department of Science & Technology, Udhampur organised a symposium contest on the theme “Importance of Natural Resources” in collaboration with Government Girls High School, Garhi. 

The event was attended by 150 participants including faculty and students. The programme began with a welcome address by the principal of the institution. Students shared their knowledge regarding the significance of natural resources, their conservation and sustainable utilisation. 

They actively participated with great enthusiasm and showcased their ideas and views. The competition was judged by Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, Retd. Headmaster, Rakesh Sharma, Headmaster Middle School, Guryalta and Sourabh Gupta Science teacher, High School, Nagrota. 

The first prize was won by Sonali Sandotra, followed by Iyasmin Khatoon and Tanvi Sharma. District Co-ordinator for JKSTIC, Shruti Khanna thanked the principal for their support in organising the event and making it a success.
