Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal reviewed the progress of several BRO roads, including the Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote road and the widening of NH144A in a meeting held today.
During the meeting, he was informed about the progress of these projects and expressed satisfaction with the work being carried out. The DC asked officials to ensure that the projects are completed on time and with quality and specifications.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments to expedite the completion of these road works and maintain quality standards. He also stressed the need to complete these projects within stipulated timelines as they are important for local connectivity and development.
The DC also emphasised timely payment of compensation to rightful claimants. Officers in attendance included OC BRO 58 RCC, Major Manju Nath, Assistant Commissioner Defence, Saleem Qureshi and Sub Divisional Magistrate Thanamandi Vikas Dhar.
