Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Pulwama in collaboration with District Administration Shopian today organized the District Level Neighborhood Youth Parliament programme under National Young Leadership (NYLP) scheme for celebration of India’s G20 presidency with the theme of ‘Vasudeva Kutumbakam and one Earth, One Family, One Future’ at Government Degree College Shopian, here.
The organizers of the programme said that the objective of the programme is to develop leadership qualities among youth so as to enable them to realize their full potential and contribute to the National building process.
It also aims to motivate youth to strive for excellence in their respective fields and bring them to the forefront of the developmental process and seeks to harness the immense youth energy.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC member, Raja Wahid highlighted the importance and celebration of the G20 presidency. He appreciated NYK Pulwama for organizing the programmes for youth engagement in the district.
Speakers elaborated on the importance of celebration of the G20 presidency under District Neighborhood Youth Parliament.They expressed their view points on important developmental issues including Future of work, Industry 4.0, Innovation and 21st century skills, Climate change and Disaster Risk Reduction, Peace building and reconciliation etc.
Large number of youth, from Youth Clubs, Mahila Mandal, Degree College Shopian, social workers participated with great enthusiasm.
