DC Kupwara reviews arrangements for Ramadan-Ul-Mubarak

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.

Addressing the meeting, the DC stressed the officers to gear up their men and machinery and ensure availability of all essential supplies including power, water, sanitation and essential commodities to the people so that they do not face any inconvenience during the holy month.

The DC directed ADCs, ACR and Tehsildars to intensify market checking in major towns and markets in the district and put vigil on the priceline of essential commodities and profiteering by traders and shopkeepers.

Dr Sagar got detailed feedback from all the officers regarding the availability of ration supply, power, water and essential commodities. He directed the XEN PDD to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the people during the month especially at Sehri and Iftaar times. 

The Municipal Committees were directed to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of the towns, besides, make a festive look of towns.ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir; ADC Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat; ACR, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat; AD Food, XENs of PDD, PHE, Officers from line departments, Tehsildars and other concerned attended the meeting.
