The Director General (DG) Sheep Husbandry Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Khan who is also Prabhari officer for Municipal Council Baramulla today visited Baramulla where he inaugurated Employment Mela under My Town My Pride Phase 2nd.
On the occasion, Prabhari officer inspected the stalls installed by various departments like Horticulture, Agriculture, Khadi and Village Board, Fisheries, NRLM, Industries and various other departments.
The event was organised by MC Baramulla under the banner of my town my pride which was attended by all the line departments who showcased their schemes, policies and programmes regarding self-employment
On the occasion, a direct interface was created with the unemployed but educated youth of Baramulla so that they can get benefitted under various employment generation schemes.
Around 200 unemployed youth attended the employment mela and were registered with different departments under different activities for starting their business enterprises.
Speaking on the occasion, Prabhari Officer said that employment of youth is the priority of the government with focus on self employment under various entrepreneurship programmes.
He said that youth should come forward to avail the benefits of employment generation schemes. President Municipal Council Baramulla Touseef Raina, Additional District Development Commissioner Aijaz Abdullah Saraf, Joint Director Planning M. Yousuf Rather and other District officers were present on the occasion.
