Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement Wing, Kashmir, Shahnawaz Shah (Prahbari officer MC Banihal) on Saturday reviewed the implementation of works and plans submitted during the My Town My Pride Programme in November last as he chaired a meeting of the Municipal Committee members and government officials held in the local Town hall.
During the meeting, the development works of the Banihal Town were discussed by the DC State Tax. President Municipal Committee, Banihal, Prince Jahangir, Tehsildar Banihal, Imtiaz Ahmed, ward members and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
The follow up meeting reviewed all those works and plans which were adopted in the My Town My Pride programme. Reviewing the progress on job oriented schemes of different sectors, the DC asked Bankers who were present in the meeting to approve and disburse the financial assistance to applicants as per guidelines.
The Visiting Officer thoroughly discussed the status of projects with officials of concerned line departments. It also informed that various self-employment generating schemes of the central government were discussed and progress made by different departments in this regard was analysed.
