DC Kulgam Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat visits Waltengoo

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today visited Kund valley to take stock of arrangements for ongoing annual Urs of sufi saint Hazrat Syed  Noor Shah Saheb Wali Baghdadi (RA).

On the occasion, the DC stressed upon the concerned officers to ensure availability of all the necessary arrangements so that the devotees do not face any inconvenience.

He also interacted with Auqaf Committee members and enquired about the arrangements put in place by administration for smooth conduct of Urs.

Auqaaf members expressed satisfaction over the arrangements and extended gratitude to the District Administration for providing all the requisite facilities to conduct the Urs smoothly.

The DC also directed the officers to ensure uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water supply, proper sanitation measures, illumination and decoration of the shrine besides healthcare facilities and security arrangements at the Shrine.

ARTO informed the DC that a special bus service for devotees from Anantnag and Qazigund has been arranged for devotees. Later the Deputy Commissioner also listened to the issues and demands of people here at Kund and PRI members and people of the area apprised the Deputy Commissioner about their issues and flagged various demands related to development of the area.

People demanded for construction of a Community hall, installation of solar lights, Posting of Principal to Higher Secondary school and various other Development requirements of the area.

The DC listened to all the demands and issues of people patiently for early redressal The DC also instructed CMO to ensure handover takeover of health centre building at Kund within days.

The DC during the visit was accompanied by  ACR Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz, ACD, Mohammad Imran Khan, CMO, Executive Engineer from PHE,KPDCL, ARTO, Tehsildar Devsar, BDO and other officers.
