In an effort to recognise their sacrifices, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav met with the family members of the heroes/freedom fighters of district Kishtwar as a part of pre Republic Day celebration under the aegis of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav".
He was accompanied by ACR Kishtwar Varunjeet Singh Charak, Tehsildar Kishtwar Umar Muneeb, besides others. As a token of respect and recognition from district administration Kishtwar, the DC Kishtwar presented sweets to family members of Late Sh. Sham Lal Ji of village Poochhal (Goa freedom movement),Late Sh. Prakash Wazir ji ( father of SSP ACB Sandeep wazir) Wazir Mohalla Kishtwar,Late Sh. Dewan Chand Parihar of Matta who also received Vir Chakra in 1962 war (China war).
The family members expressed gratitude to District Administration Kishtwar for recognising the role and contribution of the local heroes in the freedom struggle.
