Punjab Government Empowers BDPOs To Monitor Rural Doctors
Surprise Check At Least Once Week,Strict Actions Against Those Who Found Guilty

Reiterating its commitment to provide better health facilities to rural people, Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Sikandar Singh Maluka ordered BDPOs to monitor rural doctors at least once in week. He also said that any negligence towards duty would not be tolerated and those who found guilty will be treated according to law.He also added that his department is committed to provide infrastructure for Dispensaries and Hospital in rural Punjab so that rural people don’t have to rush for city Hospitals. He further added that doctors should co-operate with department accomplish mission 'Healthy Punjab'.He reveled that sixty percent of people live in rural areas so its responsibility of government to take care of their health and provide basic health facilities at grass root level. Punjab Government is regularly taking measures in this direction.
