DDC Reasi presides over Block Diwas at Kambal Danga

District Administration Reasi today organized a Weekly Block Diwas meeting at Block HQ Kambal Danga where Deputy Commissioner, Babila Rakwal along with a team of officers listened and resolved issues of the local people.

Block Development Council Chairman, Sarpanchs, Panchs, ACD, Tehsildar Reasi, Xen PWD, XEn Irrigation and other concerned officers attended the outreach programme. 

Scores of individuals and deputations, including PRI members projected demands and apprised the District Administration about the problems faced by the inhabitants of their respective areas. 

Panchs and Sarpanches from Agaar Baliyan, Silla, Gran, Panassa, Mari projected their demands and sought installation of power transformer, opening of dispensary, construction of High School boundary wall, completion of road work, restoration of existing irrigation kuls and construction of new ones, providing old age pension to eligible persons, ATM service near Government hospital Reasi, replacement of electric polls and wires, meeting of scarcity of water, avoiding  unscheduled power and other issues.

The DC passed on the spot directions to the concerned departments to ensure the redressal of the issues highlighted by people on priority and in a time bound manner. 

Addressing the gathering, the DC said the Block Diwas ensures doorstep services delivery and redressal of the genuine grievances of the common man. 

She called for coordination and collaboration among the departments and PRIs to achieve desired development objectives besides timely intervention and action to mitigate the sufferings of the people.

The officers and officials of different departments updated the people about various welfare schemes and programmes meant for their well-being and urged upon them to avail the benefits of the same.
