Asserting that there is no dearth of funds for the welfare of the people, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday announced complete transformation of Education, Health and Employment sector in the state.

The Chief Minister, who conducted a surprise visit at the local Health centre, said that the state government is committed at rejuvenating these sectors to benefit the people. He said that major thrust is being laid on these sectors to ensure that more and more people can take benefit from it.

Bhagwant Mann said that no stone will be left unturned for this noble cause as these sectors are directly connected with welfare of people. The Chief Minister said that the purpose of these surprise inspections is not of fault finding but to ensure well being of people.

He said that rather the clear motive of such initiatives is to check the arrangements at micro level for imparting quality health services to people. Bhagwant Mann said that none of the previous governments had laid due focus towards these sectors due to which state has lagged behind in them.

The Chief Minister announced complete facelift of the Kurali Health centre and said that people will be delivered quality health services here. He said that this centre will be equipped with ultra modern equipments so that people do not face any sort of inconvenience.

Bhagwant Mann said that the state government is committed to make sure that people get the state of the art health services at their doorsteps. The Chief Minister further said that a new revolution has taken place in the state in form of the Aam Aadmi clinics in which people are getting health services efficiently.

He said that by January 27th, 500 such clinics will be operational across the state. Bhagwant Mann said that people will be getting free diagnostic and treatment facilities in these clinics along with free clinical tests.

Likewise, the Chief Minister said that the state government is also opening new medical colleges in almost every district of the state. He said that the infrastructure in government hospitals is being upgraded so that they should not merely act as referral centres.

Bhagwant Mann said that the initial hour is very important in case of any emergency so the focus is to ensure that precious life of people is saved in that ‘Golden Hour’. The Chief Minister further said that with the strengthening of Education and health sector new employment opportunities will also be created in the state.

He said that this will help the state in checking the brain drain and reversing the trend of youth of state migrating to other countries. Bhagwant Mann said that the state government is making strenuous efforts for utilizing the unbounded energy of youth in a positive direction.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Cabinet Minister Anmol Gagan Mann and others.
