A capacity building program organised by the District Administration Anantnag in collaboration with Department of Health and Department of Education kickstarted today at HSS Achabal, here.

During the event, the master trainer from the health department informed the attendees about the classical symptoms to identify students under stress and vulnerable to being pulled towards substance abuse.

They were trained on how to counsel students and their parents and the various institutional mechanisms in place for helping such students. The event was the first in a series of such capacity building programs being organized to train the staff from the Education department for counselling and sensitizing students against the menace of drug abuse.
