Assistant Commissioner Development Kishtwar (ERO Thakraie), Atul Dutt Sharma today inspected Special camps convened to conduct Revision of Panchayat Electoral Rolls at Filler A, Filler B, Pakalan and Darbhadan Panchayats of Block Thakrie, District Kishtwar.
Special camps on Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls are being organised in different Panchayats of District Kishtwar under the overall supervision of District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO/ DC) Dr. Devansh Yadav.
During the inspection visit, the ERO Thakrie educated the general public about the procedure for up-dation of Panchayat Draft Electoral Roll and urged youth who attained 18 year age on the qualifying date of 01.01.2023, to register themselves as voter in Electoral Roll.
Further, he took stock of the additions and deletions made by the PEBO concerned. He further stated that people can also register online or can approach the designated authority for registration.
He further briefed the people regarding various initiatives taken by the administration particularly in the Tourism sector for mapping and profiling of the area and training initiatives.
