Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Anantnag today started a three days ‘Training Youth Leadership and Community Development’ (TYLCD) programme at Achabal, here. The Programme was inaugurated by BDC Chairman Achabal and 40 Participants from different Youth Clubs/ Mahila Mandals of District Anantnag participated in the programme.

The objective of the programme is to impart personality development training to the youth so as to enable them to reach the best version of themselves. And to impart training on fundamental life skills- Interpersonal Skills, Empathy and Leadership Skills so that they are empowered to own responsibility and take lead and contribute towards community development and social development activities.

The programme also aims to generate awareness among the participant youth on community development, values of volunteerism, service, social commitment and patriotism and impart basic training on career planning, goal setting, practicing self-discipline, emergency skills like first aid, disaster response Do’s & Don’ts etc.

The programme coordinators said they aim at nourishing the youth to be productive and responsible young citizens of the country.
