The Department of Social Welfare Samba is organizing block level camps, in collaboration with ALIMCO to provide prosthetic aids to all the Divangjans in the district.
During the camps, different types of prosthetic aids which include wheelchairs, tri cycles, hearing aids, crutches, artificial limbs were provided to the differently abled persons, who were medically assessed recently in the special camps held across all the blocks of the district.
District Social Welfare Officer, Deep Kumar informed that the department of social welfare also took PRIs of the district on board to reach out to each and every eligible beneficiary. He said the department will continue to hold such camps to reach out to every single eligible person of the district.
